Hello, Today I am here to talk to you about Taiwan inventing a chip able to identify asymptomatic COVID cases rapidly. It is a collaboration project between Academia Sinica, NARLabs, and Molsentech, led by Taiwan's Ministry of Science and Technology. The project has produced a new chip device, which is capable of detecting COVID-19 cases with a very low viral load in just three minutes, even those who show no symptoms of COVID-19 can be detected. There are currently three kinds of rapid tests available on the market. Antibody and antigen for SARS-CoV-2, which yields results in 15 minutes. And a more accurate PCR test, which takes at least 90 minutes to reveal a result. In contrast to the new chip, it takes only three minutes to get results. It's very time saving.
With Taiwan's new technology, we can identify covid cases in a short time and take action earlier to slow down the spread of the disease. And it can be taken further, modified to analyze specific cancer. The helpful invention provides people with an effective way to find out what the disease they have.
